In a recent report, The Telegraph claimed that Manchester United have made an improved offer for Royal Antwerp keeper Senne Lammens. It has been stated that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to bring the Belgian goalie to Old Trafford before the end of this summer transfer window.

Lammens’ Impressive Form In Belgian Football

Lammens enjoyed a decent run of form for Royal Antwerp in the previous campaign when he produced a series of impressive displays for them in the Jupiler Pro League. The 23-year-old conceded 56 goals and earned ten assists in 44 appearances for the Belgian outfit last season across all fronts.

The Belgian keeper proved his worth as a solid presence in between the sticks back in his homeland. However, the jury is still out on whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if Man United manage to get a deal over the line for him this summer.

His current contract at Royal Antwerp will run out in the summer of 2027. Hence, the Red Devils have got no choice but to meet the Belgian club’s demands if they want to sign Lammens in this transfer period.

Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Get Lammens On Board?

Lammens is a decent handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few solid saves at the back for his team. He usually clears his lines when needed and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.

Standing at 1.93m, the Belgian shot-stopper can use his strong frame to dominate his penalty area. However, he is still unproven at the highest level and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to snap him up in this transfer window.

Lammens would no doubt improve the quality of Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s squad. He is good enough to offer some healthy competition for Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir at the Mancunian club in the coming seasons.

At 23, Lammens has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Red Devils to consider this summer. All in all, Amorim would be wise to get him on board soon.
