Manchester United icon sends clear message to Real Madrid star – “Only one club for you” | OneFootball

After completing the signings of Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva, Real Madrid have now turned their attention to exits. Dani Ceballos has already left after having his contract mutually terminated, while the likes of Fran Garcia and Eduardo Camavinga have been linked with following him out of the Bernabeu.

Another player that could leave Real Madrid this summer is Aurelien Tchouameni. The French midfielder is said to be one of the candidates to depart in the event that Enzo Fernandez is signed from Chelsea, with funds needing to be raised in order to balance the books, and there is significant interest in his services – particularly from the Premier League.

Manchester United are one of the clubs said to be interested in Tchouameni, whom they would seek to replace former Real Madrid man Casemiro, who’s set to sign for Inter Miami as a free agent. And now, Old Trafford icon Rio Ferdinand has taken to X to send a clear message to the midfielder, who’s currently at the World Cup.

“There’s only one club for you, man. If you’re looking to leave Real Madrid, we are the club, Manchester United are the club. If you want to make it happen, make the call.“

Should Real Madrid sell Tchouameni this summer?

It would be a somewhat strange decision for Real Madrid to sell Tchouameni. He was one of their best performers during the 2025-26 season, while he is the one specialist defensive midfielder in the first team squad. Jose Mourinho may well want Enzo Fernandez, but he is not a similar player to Tchouameni, so it would be very confusing if he was considered a replacement.

It’ll be interesting to see what stance Real Madrid take with Tchouameni. His future will not be defined until after the World Cup, so there is time for a decision to be made.
