One key player will return this week as two more edge closer
Manchester United finally found their feet away from home over the weekend with a come-from-behind win at Crystal Palace, which saw the welcome return of one player from injury.
It was a positive end to a week which began in miserable fashion as United lost 1-0 at home to Everton, who were playing with 10 men for 80 minutes.
But goals two fine finishes, from Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount respectively, wiped out Palace’s opener and secured just a second away win of the season for United.
The game also featured the return of Lisandro Martinez from injury, for the first time since February, and the good news looks set to keep on coming as Ruben Amorim sees more injured stars return.
Here are the latest Manchester United injuries and potential return dates…

Summer signing Matheus Cunha missed the defeat to Everton and win at Crystal Palace with a knock suffered in training.
Remarkably, the first word of Cunha’s injury came from the Visit Altrincham social media channels, who confirmed two days before the defeat to Everton that “Cunha has had an accident in training today and will not be able to attend tonight’s Christmas Lights Switch on in Altrincham due to medical reasons.”
Ruben Amorim confirmed that injury on Monday and his update on Friday was that the forward would be able to return against West Ham this week.
The United head coach said ahead of the trip to Selhurst Park: “I expect to have Matheus in the next one [West Ham on Thursday], not this one."
Cunha took to social media ahead of the weekend to thank fans for their support, posting an image of him on an exercise bike.
Potential return date: December 4, 2025 vs West Ham (H)

Striker Benjamin Sesko remains a few weeks away from a return, having picked up a knee injury in the 2-2 draw at Tottenham in early November.
There is not too much concern inside United, according to Ruben Amorim, with the current prognosis seeing Sesko return in two weeks’ time.
That would coincide with Bryan Mbeumo’s departure to the Africa Cup of Nations, which could see him absent for a month.
Issuing an update on Friday, Amorim said: "Sesko is going to take a little bit more time [than Cunha]. It will take a little bit longer and we are taking care of him.”
Potential return date: Mid-December

Harry Maguire

Defender Harry Maguire remains absent with a hamstring injury, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Also coming off injured against Tottenham before the November international break, Maguire has been forced to watch on from the sidelines since.
But the club hope to have Maguire back in a couple of weeks. Asked for an update on Friday, Amorim confirmed that the centre-back will be out for the “same” amount of time as Sesko.
