Manchester United’s pursuit of a new striker has taken them to Paris Saint-Germain and France star Randal Kolo Muani, who could be made available for loan during the 2025 winter transfer window.
Incoming manager Ruben Amorim is likely to be looking for a new striker during the first venture into the transfer market. A reunion with Viktor Gyokeres, who has scored 23 goals in 17 appearances this season for Amorim’s Sporting CP side, has been heavily speculated upon, but he is not the only option that is available to The Red Devils.
A move for Gyokeres is unlikely to happen until next summer, and in the meantime, Manchester United need a new number nine because they have been unable to count upon Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee for consistent goals this season.

According to Fichajes, PSG are expected to allow Kolo Muani to leave the club on loan in January, as their desire is for him to receive regular minutes during the second half of the season. Manchester United can see this option as being a short-term fix ahead of a possible move for someone like Gyokeres during the 2025 summer transfer window.
Kolo Muani’s career is in need of reviving. He was fantastic for Eintracht Frankfurt, who sold him to PSG in 2023 for a fee of €95m. Since returning to France, the 25-year-old has struggled, but he is more than capable of resurrecting his career at Manchester United, should he be given the opportunity to do so.
