Manu Koné was one of the best players on the pitch in Roma’s well-deserved 3-1 victory over De Rossi’s Genoa.
The French midfielder finally scored his first goal of the season, only to have his second disallowed for a foul on Sommariva, the visiting goalkeeper.
The future of the former Monchengladbach player remains to be seen. While his permanence at Trigoria seems virtually certain until June, his return for next year is far from guaranteed.
This summer, as reported by Caughtoffside.com, the midfielder could leave Trigoria for Manchester United, who have reportedly identified him as a midfield reinforcement.
Roma’s valuation of their player ranges between €60 and €65 million, and there has been no contact between the two clubs at this time.
Koné’s contract, which expires in June 2029, could be a powerful asset for the Roman club, who could make a significant capital gain with the Frenchman.
