Manchester United linked with shock move for Chelsea star | OneFootball

Manchester United are being linked with a surprise move to sign Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos at the end of the campaign.

An overhaul in central midfield is the focus for Manchester United in the summer, with a long list of potential targets put together at Old Trafford.

According to Livescore, the Red Devils have shortlisted Santos as an option. The Brazilian is viewed as a potential replacement for Casemiro, who will leave when his contract expires in July.

Santos has struggled to nail down a regular role in the Chelsea team this season and has started just 10 Premier League games.

The presence of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo has limited his football and Manchester United are optimistic that Chelsea could negotiate for the right fee.

At 21, Santos is seen as a player with big potential and a possible long-term fix in the engine room.

He is one of several Premier League-based options that United are considering, alongside Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Sandro Tonali and Ibrahima Sangare.
