Michael Carrick has played down injury concerns over Mason Mount after the midfielder was a surprise absence from the Manchester United squad against Fulham on Sunday.
Mount was left out after suffering what Carrick described as “a bit of a knock” in training.
But the injury is not thought to be serious and Mount is expected to make a swift return.
Carrick said: “He took a bit of a knock in training. It is nothing serious.

“Obviously disappointing he is not with us today but he will be back with us very, very soon.”
Mount has struggled with injuries during his time at Manchester United but he has enjoyed a good run of fitness this season.
He has made 19 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.
Mount was an unused substitute in last weekend’s 3-2 win at Arsenal and Carrick did not mention any fresh injury issues in his pre-match press conference.
But Mount sustained an injury in training ahead of the Fulham game.
United are next in action when they play Tottenham at Old Trafford next Saturday. They then play West Ham away on February 10 before a trip to Everton February 23.
United have just lost Patrick Dorgu to a hamstring injury that could keep him out for 10 weeks.
With Dorgu sidelined, Matheus Cunha was handed a start against Fulham following his stunning winner at Arsenal last weekend.
