Since the dismissal of Ruben Amorim, Manchester United has been searching for an interim manager to steady the team.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Michael Carrick, a former club player who previously managed Middlesbrough, is in strong contention. Carrick is said to have held positive talks with United’s management and could take charge until a permanent manager is appointed.
In the meantime, Darren Fletcher, the U18s coach, continues to oversee the squad. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also remains mentioned among the candidates for the permanent role.
