Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri (21) is set to join EFL Championship side Burnley FC, according to a report from L’Equipe. The Tunisia international will join the Clarets as part of a loan deal that includes a €6.5 obligation to buy. The outlet understands that Mejbri has signed a four-year deal with Burnley. Mejbri joined Manchester United from the AS Monaco academy in a €10m deal five years ago. The France-born midfielder featured 13 times for the Red Devils, logging one goal in a 3-1 Premier League home loss against Brighton and Hove Albion last year.
Mejbri was loaned out to EFL Championship side Birmingham City FC in the 2022-2023 campaign. Recently, the Tunisia international spent the final six months of the previous season on loan at Sevilla FC. The outlet understands that Mejbri’s transfer from Manchester United to Scott Parker’s Burnley FC will be made official this Tuesday morning.
