According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United have opened talks with Leicester City over Jeremy Monga and are leading the race to sign the winger.
Monga, 16, progressed through the Seagrave academy and has been part of the first-team squad for 12 months. He made his senior debut last April at 15 years and 271 days, the second-youngest to play in the Premier League.
He featured 30 times across all competitions last season, scoring once. He agreed new terms at the King Power Stadium last summer, which will become a professional deal when he turns 17 in July.
The fee could be close to £6 million, which would be the highest Leicester have received for a teenager. United director of football Jason Wilcox, a former Foxes midfielder who previously worked in Manchester City’s academy, is said to be involved in discussions.
With Leicester in League One next season, the squad is set for a major overhaul and youngsters could play a key part. Monga was among the most prominent academy players last season, along with Louis Page and Bade Aluko.
