Merseyside star could work as Morgan Rogers alternative
Manchester United have shortlisted Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye as Michael Carrick looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season.
Carrick had an immediate impact on taking over United in January, propelling the club into the Champions League places after a slow start to the campaign under Ruben Amorim.
With a return to Europe on the cards, though, the Red Devils are moving quickly to expand the squad ahead of what promises to be a gruelling campaign.
They are already closing in on a move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson for £35m, but will look across the northwest as they bid to liven up their attack.

Everton and Senegal forward Ndiaye is reported by the Liverpool Echo to rank highly on the club’s summer transfer shortlist as an alternative option for Morgan Rogers.
United are one of the various clubs keen to sign the Aston Villa forward this summer, but are already contingency planning should they fail to secure his signature, and Ndiaye is among their second choices.
Everton are not understood to be willing to sell, and the player’s contract runs through 2029.
United, though, are said to be employing a new transfer strategy with a heightened focus on Premier League proven talent, following on from the success of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this season.
Ndiaye has thrived as a key player under David Moyes, scoring 15 goals in two seasons since moving north from Marseille for just £15m.
That means Everton could stand to net a considerable profit should they decide to sell.
Moyes is particularly fond of the Senegalese, though, saying in April that he is “the last person I would consider selling” frp
