In a recent report, Foot Mercato stated that Manchester United are in the mix to recruit Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. It has been claimed that the Red Devils would have to rival Newcastle United in the race to sign the French striker this summer.
Kolo Muani had a good loan spell at Juventus recently as he managed to put in a series of productive displays for them in the final third. The France international banged in ten goals and earned three assists in 22 matches for the Turin outfit in the previous campaign across multiple competitions.
The 26-year-old managed to shine at times for Juve up top based on his average of 1.94 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A. He kept 52% of his attempts on target. However, Kolo Muani has to find a way to improve his ball distribution after completing just 69.9% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via fbref.com).
Kolo Muani’s current deal at the French club will run out in the summer of 2028 which could make it difficult for Man United to land him on the cheap this off-season.

Kolo Muani excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get some shots in at goal and can be a decent finisher in the final third. He can engineer the odd chance for his teammates to find the back of the net and is a strong runner with the ball at his feet.
Standing at 1.87m, the French talent can use his robust frame to win a few aerial duels. However, Kolo Muani has to figure out a way to improve his link-up play in the opponent’s half. Furthermore, he might struggle to settle into the high intensity of the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board this summer.
We can expect Kolo Muani to bring more firepower to Man United boss Ruben Amorim’s attack. He has what it takes to compete for regular first-team football at Old Trafford next season.
At 26, the best is yet to come from Kolo Muani. Hence, the Mancunian club would be wise to get him on board this summer.
