Manchester United have completed the signing of highly-rated Japanese international midfielder Hinata Miyazawa.

FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Red Devils this morning.

Miyazawa joins Manchester United from Japanese Women’s Empowerment Professional Football League club Mynavi Sendai where she has spent the last two years of her career. The 23-year-old has also represented Tokyo Verdy Beleza in her senior playing career to date.

On the international stage, Miyazawa is a member of the Japanese national team. She represented her country at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. Miyazawa has 28 senior caps for Japan while she has scored nine goals.

After completing her move to Manchester United, Miyazawa said “I am truly very happy to be part of this wonderful family and this great team. I am really looking forward to getting started and hope my style of play will excite our fans.”

Miyazawa becomes Manchester United head coach Marc Skinner’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window. The Red Devils have also added defender Gemma Evans, midfielder Emma Watson and forward Geyse to their squad in the current transfer window. The club are likely to do more business before the window shuts later this month.
