Manchester United target Marc Casado is weighing up his options before making a ‘definitive decision’ over a potential Barcelona exit this summer.
Following Casemiro’s departure, reshaping the midfield has remained high on the Red Devils’ agenda as they look to inject further quality into the engine room.
Michael Carrick’s side have already added Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa and Andrey Santos from Chelsea earlier in the window, although those acquisitions have not brought their midfield recruitment to a close, with they continuing to survey the market.
Manchester United had also examined Teun Koopmeiners as a potential midfield addition, but that avenue has since lost momentum, while Aston Villa and Newcastle United continue to explore a deal for the Dutchman.
The Red Devils have also identified Casado as a target, with the Spaniard having been tipped for a Camp Nou exit even before the summer window opened.

The 22-year-old endured a restricted role under Hansi Flick last season, with his opportunities becoming increasingly limited.
Now, with the Catalan giants also poised to bring Rodri in from Manchester City, Casado could be pushed even further down the midfield hierarchy at Camp Nou, potentially accelerating his path towards the exit before the window closes.
However, Manchester United are not alone in their pursuit, with Saudi Arabian heavyweights Al Ahli and Al Hilal also circling the Spaniard and looking to lure him away.
The Saudi outfits have already placed proposals on the table as they actively seek to secure the midfielder’s signature, adding a layer of difficulty to the Red Devils’ pursuit.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Casado will assess all the proposals that have reached him before making a ‘definitive decision’ on his future in the coming days.
Barcelona’s willingness to sanction the Spaniard’s departure could give Manchester United a route into negotiations, but they may need to show serious intent with the Saudi pursuit gathering pace.
A move to Old Trafford would give him the chance to test himself in the Premier League while continuing his development at the highest level of European football.
The Spaniard has already attracted interest from several English clubs since last summer, including West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves.
Any move this summer would mark the first time Casado has played outside the Blaugrana colours since he came through La Masia’s academy ranks.
