According to The Athletic, Manchester United are considering a move for Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow as his contract runs down this summer.
Darlow signed a three-year deal on arriving in 2023 and, as it stands, will become a free agent. The 35-year-old reclaimed the No one spot midway through 2025/26 under Daniel Farke.
He started 22 Premier League matches last season, initially covering for Lucas Perri during an autumn injury, then keeping the shirt from January. His form impressed supporters and drew attention from rivals.
Leeds are keen to keep Darlow and are set to offer fresh terms.
United added Belgian keeper Senne Lammens for around £18 million last summer and he excelled in his debut campaign. Depth remains an issue behind him, with Altay Bayindir, a £4 million signing in 2023, having struggled and expected to leave. Darlow’s homegrown status increases his appeal.
Wolves’ Sam Johnstone is also viewed as a potential option for Michael Carrick’s side, having come through the academy. Darlow is likely to attract suitors as a free agent and Wales international who is currently first choice under Craig Bellamy. Farke has praised his performances and character, noting strong mutual trust, and said he will discuss the future once anything is confirmed.
