Daily Mail reports that Manchester United are weighing up a move for former Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville as part of a potential double signing from relegated West Ham, with a combined fee of up to £140m under discussion.
Summerville joined West Ham in 2024 when his £28m release clause was triggered after a standout Championship season for Leeds, delivering 21 goals and 10 assists and collecting multiple individual awards.
He initially struggled in east London before hitting form early in 2026, scoring six in seven across all competitions. West Ham kept survival hopes alive to the final day, beating Leeds 3-0, but Tottenham’s win over Everton sealed the drop.
The report adds that team-mate Mateus Fernandes is also under consideration, with United assessing options in central midfield and out wide should Marcus Rashford leave as expected.
West Ham are thought to be seeking a profit on their £28m investment in Summerville, and The Athletic reports he is valued at around £50m after five Premier League goals and two assists last season.
His price could be influenced by his World Cup, which began last weekend with a curled finish on debut in a 2-2 draw against Ao Tanaka’s Japan.
After that match, former Leeds recruitment figure Gaby Ruiz, now with broadcaster DAZN, congratulated him on air and recalled predicting he would reach a World Cup. Summerville thanked Ruiz and Victor Orta for their faith.
