Manchester United host Ipswich Town at Old Trafford in the Premier League this evening.
Ruben Amorim takes on the same opponents from his first game in charge, in what has been a tough start to life in the Premier League. Saturday’s draw at Everton extended his record to just four league wins in 15 games at Manchester United.
The Red Devils are 15th in the table and, points-wise, as close to the relegation places as the top eight. Amorim will hope his side can find form when relegation-threatened Ipswich arrive in Manchester this evening. The Tractor Boys are yet to win a league game in 2025. Currently 18th, Kieran McKenna’s team are five points from safety.
Ruben Amorim remains without Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo, who have been ruled out for the campaign with knee and ankle injuries respectively.
Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans all also remain ruled out, though an encouraging start for Patrick Dorgu has eased concerns over the former’s return. Goalkeepers Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton have also been unavailable of late.
There’s better news on Kobbie Mainoo and Toby Collyer, who are closing in on returns to first-team action.
Manchester United predicted XI: Onana; Dalot, Yoro, Maguire, De Ligt, Dorgu; Eriksen, Ugarte; Fernandes, Zirkzee, Garnacho.
Manchester United host Ipswich in the Premier League on Wednesday 26th February 2025. Kick-off at Old Trafford will be at 19:30 GMT.
Manchester United vs Ipswich will be available to watch on TNT Sports 4 and Discovery+ UK.
