Manchester United are monitoring Santos attacking midfielder Robinho Junior ahead of the winter transfer window.

They want to bolster their attacking options for the second half of the season as manager Ruben Amorim eyes a top-six finish.

The Red Devils could be without Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo in January if their respective countries reach the knockout stage of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Robinho Jr has a release clause of €100 million, but is expected to be available for less.

Santos will be open to selling one of their best players, especially if they are relegated, and Man United are monitoring his situation.

He has played 13 games in the Brazilian top-flight this season, weighing in with one assist.

Robinho Jr is highly talented, but whether he could hit the ground running in the Premier League is debatable.

Inter Milan, Espanyol, Galatasaray and Chelsea are also monitoring the Brazilian winger.

He has been compared to his father, and Man United will be getting a serious player if he proves to be as talented as the former Real Madrid star.

Robinho joined Manchester City in 2008 after looking set to join Man United, and his son could now make the move his father once thought he was making.

He would start his United career in the youth ranks if a move happens in January, and the fans will be expecting the club to sign players capable of making an immediate impact.
