Manchester United ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over Tottenham Hotspur in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Final, watched by 76,082 at Wembley Stadium.

United caused problems with corner kicks from early on, Rachel Williams going close with headers twice, once after goalkeeper Becky Spencer had prevented Leah Galton from scoring.

Matilda Vinberg had the first effort of the game for Spurs, later unable to keep down a header from Ashleigh Neville’s cross.

More worries for Spurs in defending corners saw Martha Thomas save them with a goal-line clearance from Millie Turner’s shot.

Ella Toone’s shot on the turn could not find the target but with seconds to go before the break, she led a counter attack and curled the ball home from outside the box.

Spurs were left reeling after conceding twice early in the second half, Williams nodding in from Katie Zelem’s free kick and a horrible moment for Spencer as she gifted Lucia Garcia with United’s third.

Beth England was denied a goal back by the bar with 25 minutes to play, Amanda Nilden unable to put the rebound on target.

Spencer turned a Melvine Malard shot wide but had no chance when Garcia latched onto a short pass by Lisa Naalsund.
