Benjamin Sesko still out as Bruno Fernandes chases assists record on final day

Benjamin Sesko remains out as Manchester United take on Brighton in their final match of the Premier League season today.

The Slovenian striker has been sidelined since being replaced at half-time of this month’s defeat of Liverpool, when he awkwardly collided with the advertising hoardings at Old Trafford and aggravated a pre-existing shin injury.

He has missed two matches since and Michael Carrick confirmed that he remained a doubt as United head to the Amex for their last game of the campaign.

Given United have little riding on this match, that is no great setback - Carrick was expected to rotate anyway.

Bruno Fernandes, of course, starts in the No10 role as he chases a record 21st assist of the Premier League season.

Casemiro is not involved in this match as he prepares to depart the club, with Mason Mount coming into midfield alongside Kobbie Mainoo.

Matthijs de Ligt remains unavailable after undergoing surgery on a back injury.
