Marcus Rashford is pushing for his first start in many, many months

Manchester United hope to welcome Mason Mount back this weekend, but new signing Carlos Baleba must wait for his debut.

Michael Carrick heads into their first home game of the new season needing a result after going down 2-0 at newly promoted Hull City in toothless fashion.

United came through that game without picking up any further injuries, but Carrick could still make changes to his starting XI.

It means Marcus Rashford, who came off the bench last weekend, could be handed his first start after being reintegrated into the first-team squad.

Out would come Patrick Dorgu, with Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes supporting lone front man Matheus Cunha. Benjamin Sesko is still building up his fitness

Kobbie Mainoo is another pushing for a place in the team, with summer signing Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos failing to impress at the Tigers.

New signing Baleba has joined from Brighton, but is injured after picking up an ankle injury during a pre-season training camp in Austria and will not be seen on a pitch for a few weeks.

Tom Heaton, Matthijs de Ligt, Mason Mount and Manuel Ugarte will also miss United's first home fixture.

Doubts: Mount
