While Mainoo is highly valued by United, they are open to loaning him out for the remainder of the season to ensure regular playing time, but they have firmly rejected any possibility of a permanent transfer.

The complication lies with the player himself, who is reportedly unsure about moving to Serie A. Napoli, meanwhile, has imposed a strict deadline: a deal for Mainoo (or a chosen alternative) must be finalized within the first few days of January.
