Daniele Longo has now reported that the line of suitors for Pavlovic has grown and several clubs have made enquiries for him. This includes Manchester United, who are an interested party now.

Chelsea remain most active and in the lead for him, as things stand. A move for Pavlovic would free up Benoit Badiashile, with the Frenchman having previously been of interest to Milan themselves.

Max Allegri’s side will not make a deal for their centre-back easy. They would want €50 million to let him depart, with the money earned enough to rope in Mario Gila from Lazio as a possible replacement.

Pavlovic has come leaps and bounds as a ball-playing left centre-back this season. He has also come up with goal contributions, famously scoring a thunderbolt against Torino. While he does have an occassional error in him, he offers the net positive on the ball which can be vital for Chelsea.

Manchester United don’t specifically need a centre-back, which should make the Blues a likely candidate.
