Roma fell to Genoa and lost their entire advantage over Como and Juventus.
The Bianconeri are now just one point behind, while the Lombardy side are tied a week before their clash on the shores of Lake Como.
This is a terrible ranking, considering that at the 93rd minute of Roma-Juventus, the Giallorossi had a seven-point advantage over their rivals. And in Como, Ndicka, who has scored three goals in his last three games, will also be missing.
One suspension leads to another. Yesterday in Genoa, Wesley was absent, having been booked against Juventus. And the Brazilian’s absence at Marassi was clearly felt.
The Ivorian was booked during the first half, meaning he will miss the decisive match against Como.
And as if that weren’t enough, Mancini will be missing in Bologna on Thursday, serving his suspension for the red card he received against Panathinaikos.
As Corriere della Sera reports, Gasperini will have to rotate his defenders this week. In Bologna, the coach could rely on Ghilardi or once again drop Celik, relying on Rensch on the right flank and Wesley on the left.
The same applies in Como. The coach, however, hopes to recover Hermoso. The Spaniard, who hasn’t played since February 2nd in Udine, is expected to return to the squad in the coming days. It’s unlikely he’ll be able to play in the cup; the goal is to field him against Fabregas’s side.
