As reported by Niccolò Schira, the center-back is expected to sign a contract in the coming days, extending the contract by at least two years.

The 1996-born player was initially set to become a free agent in 2027, but the new agreement will run until 2029, with an option for 2030.

With his new contract, Mancini will earn €3.5 million per year. Therefore, the number 23 will not receive a pay rise compared to his previous agreement.

This season, the Pontedera-born centre-back has scored five goals and two assists in 45 appearances, but one match in particular has elevated the 1996-born player to the top.

In the May 17 derby, the Roma defender played a key role in the 2-0 victory, scoring a brace.

He celebrated by bowing to the Curva, but the love between him and the fans is now solid.

Furthermore, rumors of him joining Inter Milan should he not renew his contract have been definitively put to rest.
