After the restart, Jerry Yates glanced in from close range (57.) following a corner, his first goal for The Owls since joining in January.

Saints restored control when Taylor Harwood-Bellis forced in from close range (71.) after another set piece, Kuryu Matsuki supplying the delivery.

Saints finished with 63.5% possession and 15 attempts, six on target. The Owls mustered 10 attempts, three on target.

Next, The Owls visit Derby in the Championship. The Saints visit Fulham in the FA Cup.
