Posting on X, both Solomon and Struijk were clearly pleased with the three points after the final whistle.

They were warned of just how difficult this game would be early on, when Harry Darling put the Swans 1-0 up.

It didn't take long for Leeds to equalise, with Solomon getting on the end of a cross from Dan James to make it 1-1.

The Whites would have been fairly happy with that result heading into the break, but they conceded just before the interval, with Liam Cullen's shot finding its way past Illan Meslier.

Leeds continued to be a threat out wide though - and it's where their second and third goals came from - with Ben Cabango inadvertently finding his own net from James' cross.

Sam Byram was then able to keep his composure on the left before finding Solomon, who made no mistake from close range, with that goal putting the visitors 3-2 up at the Swansea.com Stadium.

A late goal from Florian Bianchini made it 3-3, but Willy Gnonto had the final say in the end, with James' excellent pass finding the Italian before the latter fired the ball into the back of the net.

This allowed the Whites to claim an excellent 4-3 victory - and it has taken them to the top of the Championship table after Sunderland and Sheffield United dropped points on Saturday afternoon.

Now at the summit, they will be hoping to retain their current status and potentially create a gap between themselves and other teams in the second tier.

Manor Solomon and Pascal Struijk react after Swansea City v Leeds United thriller

It was a thrilling game and a number of players will be pleased with how they performed.

James was a game-changer on his return to his former club and Solomon will be delighted that he was able to register a brace following a fairly mediocre start to life at Elland Road.

Taking to X after the game, the Israel international posted: "Massive 3 points in a crazy game! 🤩 Thank you for your support🤍"

Centre-back Struijk wouldn't have been happy to have seen his team concede three goals, but he was still pleased after the final whistle, posting: "Won the rollercoaster ride 🎢"

Leeds United need to keep raising their standards amid promotion quest

Leeds have capitalised on results going their way on the weekend - and they need to keep doing that.

With no international break until March now, they need to be as consistent as possible with the set of players they have.

Thankfully for them, they have some depth in key areas and that should help them to maintain their standards.

If they can maintain their standards and be consistent, it would be difficult to see them not securing a place in the top two, considering the quality of their squad.
