Juventus captain Manuel Locatelli has suffered a meniscus tear and will require an operation after being injured against AC Milan.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 28-year-old is expected to be out for between three and six months.

He hurt his knee in Sunday’s 1-1 draw, then saw specialist Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet in Lyon on Tuesday.

His setback deepens Juventus’ injury problems. Kenan Yildiz and Khephren Thuram were ruled out for several months last week.
