Manuel Neuer set to miss Bayern’s DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart

Manuel Neuer will miss Bayern Munich’s DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart in Berlin on Saturday.

The club confirmed on Friday that the 40-year-old is out with a calf injury. He sustained it in last week’s 5-1 win over 1. FC Köln.

His recovery is understood to be progressing, but he is not taking risks before the World Cup, so he will not be available.

Jonas Urbig will start in goal for the German champions at the Olympiastadion.

The 22-year-old has already made 19 appearances for Bayern this season.
