Aleksandar Pavlovic is on the radar of several top clubs. Interest is growing, particularly from the Premier League – but FC Bayern is remaining calm. A record sum would have to be paid for a transfer of the home-grown player.
At FC Bayern, Aleksandar Pavlovic has long been more than just a hopeful. The 21-year-old midfielder has developed into an integral part of the team with consistently strong performances and impresses with his intelligence, passing ability and maturity far beyond his age.
This development has not gone unnoticed internationally – in England in particular, Pavlovic is said to be under close scrutiny.
As the English portal CaughtOffside reports, Manchester United are among the clubs that have been keeping a close eye on Pavlovic for months. The Red Devils are said to see the Munich youngster as a potential successor to Casemiro. According to the report, the English record champions have put Pavlovic on an internal list of potential reinforcements.
However, Manchester is aware that a transfer of this magnitude is difficult to realise – especially as FC Bayern has no intention of selling. Nevertheless, several Premier League clubs are said to have already contacted the Bayern professional’s entourage to sound out their basic willingness to make a move.

One thing is clear: Should a club like Manchester United get serious about Pavlovic, Bayern will not sell at a bargain price. According to the report, the German record champions are demanding at least 80 million euros for their home-grown talent – a sum that would set a new benchmark in the club’s history.
By way of comparison: Munich’s highest sales proceeds to date were 45 million euros. Bayern realised this sum with the transfers of Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona, 2022), Lucas Hernández (Paris Saint-Germain, 2023) and Matthijs de Ligt (Manchester United, 2024). Should Pavlovic actually move for 80 million euros, he would be the most expensive departure in the club’s history.
However, there is currently little to suggest that this will happen. Pavlovic is tied to Bayern until 2029 and identifies strongly with his youth club. So far, there have also been no signals from those close to him that would suggest a move. The youngster himself has repeatedly emphasised in the past how much he enjoys playing a central role at FC Bayern.
Pavlovic would be difficult for Munich to replace anyway. Under coach Vincent Kompany, the Munich native has developed into a key player in midfield – as a link player between defence and attack, setting the tempo and keeping the balance in the game.
