FC Barcelona have always been blessed with some of the best players throughout football history. While the Catalan club has a rich history of depending on their youngsters, they have often invited players from elsewhere as well. Ultimately, it is a combination of both that has worked best for Barcelona.

Interestingly, this season has been a lot more of depending on the team’s quarry and academy pulling them through. Unfortunately, that decision has been made more so due to necessity rather than a completely deliberate choice of action.

While it has worked in their favor, Barcelona would definitely not mind bringing in top players to bolster a squad that could use any additional depth. Moreover, even though Robert Lewandowski remains one of Barça’s most high-profile players, there is a certain name that many fans would like to see at the club.

Now, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, it seems that 21-year-old Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado also believes that the same player is the one who he would like to see at the club and play with:

“Like Pedri said in another interview, I’ll say (Erling) Haaland.”

It is hardly a surprise to see Casado mention the Manchester City star, given that the €180 million-rated Norwegian striker is currently one of the most in-form players in the world and his presence for both club and country is a major boost and almost always guarantees goals.

So far this season, the Manchester City ace has already scored nine goals in four Premier League experiences, a number that no forward has been able to match across Europe’s top leagues. Thus, it is hardly surprising to see Casado join in on the same train that Pedri has been on since before.
