Hansi Flick has not really shied away from using academy talent since his arrival at FC Barcelona, and there are several youngsters established as key parts of his starting line-up.

Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsí, and Lamine Yamal have been established parts of the first team since Xavi’s time, and another player who has not only become an important part of the team but also a key starter for Barcelona under Hansi Flick is the midfielder Marc Casadó.

The youngster has provided Flick with a much-needed solution for his midfield pivot problem, as the only natural and experienced player for this position, Oriol Romeu, had left in the last summer transfer window, while his first option to replace him, Marc Bernal, also suffered a serious injury and got sidelined for the rest of the season early in this campaign.

As he enjoys his Christmas break along with the rest of his teammates, the midfielder appeared in an interview with the Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, in which he engaged in a rapid-fire test.

One of the questions he was asked in this test was about whom he saw as his best teammate in the Barcelona team, to which he replied:

“There are many. It’s hard for me to choose, but well, let’s go with Pedri.”

There is little surprise in this revelation, as Marc Casadó and Pedri play quite close to one another on the pitch, and are in regular communication with one another throughout games. Pedri is also in general easy to get along with, as other Barcelona players have also talked positively about him in the past.

Overall, this was an interesting interview with the midfielder, and it certainly allowed his fans at Barcelona to get to know him more deeply. These fans will certainly be looking forward to more such interviews from their beloved players while they await the return of competitive football.
