Marc Cucurella dismisses claims Real Madrid are not running enough after defeats | OneFootball

Marc Cucurella has addressed scrutiny of Real Madrid’s running statistics following defeats by Atletico Madrid and Real Betis.

"The truth is it surprised me, because if it was about having long spells of possession, I could maybe say no, but running... I think we run a lot," said Cucurella, speaking to Cadena SER.

"If we had won every game, there would be no talk about us running too little. They would say we run very little, but are very effective, or some other headline."

Madrid will seek to reset when domestic football resumes. Cucurella is on international duty with Spain, who face England, Croatia and Czech Republic.
