A permanent tribute to Marcelo Bielsa has opened at Elland Road, with Bielsa Place unveiled as a landmark honouring supporters and the former head coach.

A Leeds United spokesperson said the site recognises the man who brought belief, passion and top-flight football back to the club.

The final Legacy Stones have been installed in the new section by the East Stand reception, with more than 1,700 now in place and 673 supporter names also featured.

The area includes a marble replica of Bielsa’s bucket, inviting fans to sit and reflect, a nod to his famous touchline perch.

Bielsa guided Leeds to promotion back to the Premier League in 2020, ending a 16-year absence.

Bielsa Place was named alongside Howard's Way as the two new Legacy Stones sections available for supporters to purchase and etch their names on to Elland Road, with Howard's Way expected to be installed at the end of July to the start of August.

All Legacy Stones are now sold out online.
