Marco Silva could reunite with Luís Boa Morte at Benfica, with the former Sporting player in line for a backroom role. According to Glorioso 1904, the club’s future coaching team under Silva could include the 48-year-old.
Boa Morte is in talks to end his stint at Samsunspor after one season with the club in Türkiye.
His connection with Silva is central to the move. They worked together at Everton in 2019/20, then reunited at Fulham from 2021 to 2024, strengthening a close professional bond in England.
Before this opportunity, Boa Morte was on Sporting’s coaching staff. In 2014/15 he started as assistant with the B team, later taking charge of the junior side.
As a player, he came through Sporting’s youth system but never made a senior appearance. After a loan at Lourinhanense, he left permanently for Arsenal, beginning a long career in England.
