Marcos Braz continues to rack up achievements as Remo’s football executive, as the Pará club beat Águia de Marabá 2-1 on Sunday to lift the Supercopa Grão-Pará for the first time.

At Estádio Mangueirão, PH put Águia ahead before Yago Pikachu and Eduardo Melo completed the turnaround. According to Coluna Do Fla, Águia won the 2024 edition and Paysandu took the 2025 title.

Braz has been at Remo since the 2025 season and was part of the project that secured promotion to the 2026 Brasileirão Série A. The club will return to the top flight after 31 years.

He previously had two spells at Flamengo, first in 2009 when the Rubro-Negro won the Brazilian title. He returned in 2019 and helped assemble a squad that delivered two Libertadores, two Brasileirões and two Copas do Brasil.

While Braz works at Remo, Flamengo’s first team continue pre-season. The expectation is that Filipe Luís will field his strongest side only for the Brasileirão opener against São Paulo on 28 January at Morumbis.

Before then, Flamengo face Vasco in the Carioca on Wednesday 21 at 21:30 Brasília time, at the Maracanã.
