Marcos Leonardo (22) is set to join Atlético Madrid on loan until the end of the season from Al Hilal, according to a report from L’Équipe. The deal will also include an option to buy, which will allow the La Liga club to sign the Brazilian forward on a permanent basis. The fee that would be required for the Madrid outfit to sign Leonardo on a permanent basis is believed to be in the region of €40m.

After playing for what will be three clubs in the space of 18 months, the 22-year-old will be hoping to find a stable home for himself at the Wanda Metropolitano. The Brazilian striker joined Al-Hilal just over 18 months ago from Benfica and is now set to move again and join Atlético Madrid. During his time in the Saudi Pro League, Leonardo has made 67 appearances for Al-Hilal, scoring 43 goals and registering 5 assists across all competitions.
