Marcus Rashford is awaiting his maiden outing at Aston Villa, during which he’ll aim to get off to a flying start and silence his lengthy list of doubters.
The Manchester United graduate parted ways with his boyhood club in the dying embers of the winter window following his 13-game exile by Ruben Amorim, who has since revealed that the pair just couldn’t see eye-to-eye in regards to his training sessions and demands.
As such, Rashford will be representing a new team for the first time ever in his career, with fans already expressing just how bizarre it’s been to see the homegrown Red donning another side’s colours – especially a direct Premier League opponent.
It remains to be seen if his £40 million buy option will be activated upon the culmination of the term. Murmurings have suggested the 27-year-old still has his sights set on his dream move to Barcelona, which failed to materialise last month due to the Blaugrana’s ever-precarious financial situation, meaning they would’ve had to sell to sanction his arrival.

Until then, though, all eyes will be on Rashford to see how he fares in a new environment, and if recent reports are anything to go by, he’s certainly got off on the right foot.
According to Villa correspondent John Townley of Birmingham Mail, the England international requested to train on his first two days off in the Midlands, with him seemingly adamant about getting back up to speed while also growing accustomed to Unai Emery’s system.
As well as that, he recorded the fourth-lowest body fat percentage of the entire squad. Townley adds he’s ‘quickly made a positive impression in his first week at Bodymoor Heath’.
