Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has made crystal clear to those in a position of power at La Liga champions Barcelona his desire to join the club this summer.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.

Wide-man Rashford has of course been hotly tipped for a move to the Camp Nou this summer.

This comes with the Englishman featuring prominently on the shortlist of winger targets drawn up by Deco and co.

The main problem for Rashford himself in his pursuit of a Barcelona switch is the fact that he sits behind both Nico Williams and Luis Díaz in the Blaugrana’s attacking target pecking order.

The 27-year-old therefore recently took matters into his own hands.

As revealed by Marca, following in the lead of Athletic Club standout Nico, Rashford touched base with those in the boardroom in Catalunya, through an intermediary, to make known his desire to join Hansi Flick’s squad.

Not only that, but the England international confirmed his willingness to take a pay cut to make the transfer a reality.
