The England international has been a positive contributor for FC Barcelona all season, contributing to 20 goals in all competitions.

Rashford is said to be happy to continue at Barcelona in a permanent move in the summer, and there are numerous reports to suggest that the club feel the same way.

Nonetheless, recent news also suggests that the Catalans may not be able to afford Manchester United’s asking price and that there have been talks between Manchester United and Rashford over a sensational return.

Performance

The England international scored his first goal in months in La Liga at the weekend in the side’s 1-2 defeat to Real Sociedad.

Rashford started on the bench against Slavia Praha in the Champions League but did make a positive contribution in his 30 minutes on the field.

He grabbed an assist just ten minutes after he came on, giving Barcelona their fourth goal in a 4-2 win for the visitors.

Rashford jinked his way past the defender and put in a left-foot cross that was eventually turned in by Robert Lewandowski.

He also had one shot on target that was saved by the Czech side’s keeper.

Rashford was a real threat in attack, completing two key passes and succeeding in his only dribble attempt of the game.

He also won both his ground duels and his only tackle as he helped fire his side from the bench.

The 28-year-old will be disappointed not to start but will surely be happy with his contribution off the bench.

Barcelona will next be in action at home to Real Oviedo on Sunday afternoon.
