Inter sealed the Italian title with a 2-0 win over Parma on Sunday. Marcus Thuram marked the triumph on social media by recreating Kobe Bryant’s iconic celebration.
According to L'Équipe, the French forward posted an AI-generated image the following day to mark the club’s 21st Scudetto, mirroring Bryant’s 2001 locker-room shot, with the trophy at his feet and his face covered by his hand.
In the reimagined scene, Thuram takes Bryant’s place with near-identical staging. The same shower setting and shower head appear, along with the matching pose and clothing styled in team colours, Inter rather than the Lakers.
The notable change is the silverware count. Thuram is pictured with two trophies, whereas Bryant had one.
Thuram is not the first to echo the photograph. Other athletes, including Jayson Tatum in the NBA, have drawn on its visuals after titles, and Bryant’s legacy continues to inspire six years after his death.
