Maresca and Man City ‘could disrupt’ Inter move for Palestra

According to Sky Sport, Manchester City could move for Atalanta wing-back Marco Palestra, particularly if Enzo Maresca replaces Pep Guardiola, a scenario that may complicate Inter’s pursuit.

TMW reports that City entering the race could push Atalanta’s valuation to €50-60m, making it difficult for Inter to compete. Guardiola is under contract until June 2027, yet Fabrizio Romano reports Maresca is currently the only candidate on City’s agenda.

Inter have set their sights on Palestra and are considering an offer worth €40m for the 21-year-old, who spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Cagliari.

The defender is due to return to Atalanta in the summer, though his future in Bergamo is uncertain after a breakout Serie A campaign.

Palestra has one goal and four assists in 36 appearances across all competitions this season, and he made his senior Italy debut in March.
