Mario Gila has agreed personal terms with Milan, and Lazio are ready to accept €25m plus €5m in add-ons, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The outlet adds the deal is practically done after a meeting with the defender’s agents last night. The contract would be for five years at €5m net per season.

Napoli have tracked him for months, but their need to sell first has held them back. Inter are in a similar position and have other options.

Sportitalia reports that Atalanta agreed a €25m fee with Lazio, but the player preferred other clubs.

The defender is out of contract in July 2027, so Lazio are forced to sell this summer before losing him as a free agent.

He turns 26 next month and joined Lazio from Real Madrid in summer 2022 for €6m.
