Some ‘interesting’ comments from Mark Hateley on Lewis Hall.
The former Coventry and Hull striker discussing the Newcastle United player’s progress.
Mark Hateley though delivering some devastating news to Lewis Hall.
Hateley declaring that with the form of Lewis Hall at Newcastle United; “He should be getting an England call-up…I think you need to be careful and cautious with him but definitely introduce him to international football and let him sample a little bit of that.”
Lewis Hall left devastated by the news, that he (and everybody else…) just imagined that he has already made his debut for the England senior side.
A regular for the England Under 21s, Lewis Hall making his senior debut as a sub at half-time in Athens on 14 November 2024, England leading 1-0 at the time and going on to beat Greece 3-0 with the (imaginary…) help of Lewis Hall.
Then only three days later we saw (dreamt?) the exciting vision of the future, as both Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento started and played the full match as England hammered the Republic of Ireland 5-0 at Wembley.
Sunday 2nd March, 2025 – Ex-England striker Mark Hateley has told New Betting Sites UK that Newcastle defender Lewis Hall is set for his first international call-up:
“Lewis Hall has been very, very impressive. He should be getting an England call-up. He’s settled in very well at Newcastle and takes everything in his stride. He’s aggressive and he never seems under pressure. He’s just a really, really good young player.
“I think you need to be careful and cautious with him but definitely introduce him to international football and let him sample a little bit of that. He can then come back to Newcastle, where everything’s in place for him – he’s got all the tools he needs.
“Next season will be the big season for him. If he finishes the season like he is at the moment, on fire, getting all the positive reaction, he then needs to get through the summer and come back next season strong. If he has another good 12 months, he’s set for a big career.”
