Mark Viduka, once a Premier League menace, now runs a small café in Zagreb, far from the spotlight.

The former Leeds, Middlesbrough and Newcastle striker hit 92 Premier League goals in 240 appearances, including an astonishing four in the 4-3 win over Liverpool in 2000.

He won 43 caps for Australia and captained the Socceroos to the last-16 at the 2006 World Cup, where they lost to eventual champions Italy. He retired at the end of 2009 after fitness issues and the grind of constant scrutiny.

Today he and his wife run Non Plus Ultra in the hills above Zagreb, serving locals, tourists and the odd celebrity. Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic is a regular.

"It's great to do something different. You make a bad coffee, you throw it in the bin. I try and make the best coffee as I can, though. I think I've become pretty good at it." He told ESPN.

Viduka says he is happiest out of the spotlight and still sees himself as a laid-back Australian. Born in Melbourne to a Ukrainian-Croatian mother and Croatian father, he is also a cousin of Croatia icon Luka Modric.
