Eintracht Frankfurt boss Markus Krösche has revealed what the future could look like for him amid renewed links to Borussia Dortmund.
There appears to be some uncertainty surrounding the future of Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl, with multiple reports in Germany claiming that it remains to be seen if his expiring contract will be extended beyond the end of the current season.
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche has long been held in high regard by those in charge at Borussia Dortmund, and was even linked with the club as a potential successor to Hans-Joachim Watzke. If BVB do part ways with Kehl and look for an external replacement, his name would no doubt be high on the list of targets.
But Krösche has no plans to leave Eintracht Frankfurt, and has made it clear that he is happy at the club having signed a contract extension until 2028 earlier this year. "I can't judge what's going on at other clubs. I'm at Eintracht Frankfurt, I've just extended my contract. We have an exciting team. That's why the question doesn't even arise at all," he told BILD.
Eintracht Frankfurt have made an excellent start to the new season, and find themselves in third place in the Bundesliga standings, four points clear of seventh placed Borussia Dortmund.
Krösche is considered to be one of the best sporting directors in Europe. The 44 year old has attracted the interest of several clubs in the past, including the likes of Liverpool.
