Former Corinthians futsal fixo Marlon says his brief 2025 stint was among the most memorable of his career, and the club touched his family.
"First I will have to call and see if they still want me. Corinthians was one of the most special things that happened to me last year, the three happiest months I had in 2025 in futsal," he told LNF TV.
He arrived in September after Yeesco Futsal folded when its main sponsor went bust. He had planned to wait until season’s end and even considered the Kings League, but the chance to play for Corinthians changed that.
He swiftly became a key figure, with seven goals and five assists in 17 games as Corinthians reached the LNF and Paulista finals, losing to Jaraguá and Magnus. "Corinthians is different in many ways, and the Fiel is the main one. They made all the difference."
"My second son is two, he was born in Spain and my wife and I support Grêmio. Since we started going to Parque São Jorge, when we gave him the kit he became fascinated with Corinthians. In the end, we will have a Corinthians fan at home."
He did not stay for 2026, moving to Selangor in Malaysia. He was one of seven departures as the futsal department cut costs under the management of Osmar Stabile. A youthful squad has fluctuated, 13th in the LNF with five points from eight, but second in the Paulista on 16 points.
