Inter president Beppe Marotta said the club are not in negotiations for Roma defender Evan Ndicka, and added there was no update on their pursuit of Atalanta talent Marco Palestra.
According to Football Italia, Marotta spoke to reporters in Rome after attending the election of new Federation president Giovanni Malagò at the FIGC headquarters. He was asked about Inter's summer plans after winning Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
Palestra is considered Inter's primary target at around €50m, viewed as the ideal heir to Real Madrid-bound Denzel Dumfries.
Pressed on Ndicka, Marotta said Inter had not discussed the player and had not sought him, so there were certainly no talks.
The Ivory Coast international turns 27 in August and has become a key figure in Roma's defence. His contract runs to June 2028 and his future remains in the air.
Ndicka made 42 competitive appearances for Roma this season, scoring five goals.
