Olympique de Marseille have today confirmed to Get French Football News  that midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg will be out of action for ‘several weeks’ after suffering an injury to his left-calf before OM’s defeat to Lens last weekend. The club confirmed the news in a medical update given to journalists ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s pre-match press conference and training held at the Stade Vélodrome exceptionally ahead of OM’s Classique clash against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday evening (20:45 CET). This comes as official confirmation from the club, after L’Équipe reported that the Danish midfielder had missed two training sessions after picking up a foot injury but played through the pain in the match against Lens. The French paper had reported that he was set to miss Le Classique as well as Denmark’s Nations League quarter-final against Portugal. Marseille also confirmed that Michael Amir Murillo was back on his feet and running separately to the squad. The Panamanian was injured during Marseille’s victory over FC Nantes at the Vélodrome two weeks ago.GFFN | George Boxall – Reporting from Marseille.
