Marseille defender Nayef Aguerd assaulted at Marignane Airport | OneFootball

According to a report from BFM Marseille-Provence, Olympique de Marseille defender Nayef Aguerd (29) was the victim of assualt on Monday afternoon, whilst preparing to fly to join the Morocco national team during the international break. The incident occurred in the VIP lounge, where an individual reportedly approached Aguerd to request his phone number and a selfie. The situation escalated when the person, described as being in a disturbed state, raised his voice and attempted to slap the Moroccan international.

Security personnel intervened swiftly, allowing Aguerd to remain unharmed, while the assailant fled before being apprehended by police. The suspect was later questioned by authorities following his arrest.
